Comfort Inn Edgewater On Hudson River

Staff is very very helpful and fabulously friendly!

It offers modern and reasonably large rooms with tub and jacuzzi plus all the basics.

Impeccably clean place with great view of the Manhattan skyline in the distance. Attentive staff always on hand. Fast check in and in general good service. The check out is late. All in all beautiful and amazing setting close enough to the ferry dock, New York and shopping centers, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. Right by an art museum.

Good location if one does not want to live directly in Manhatten - fantastic view over the Hudson River to the city - bus station on the other side of the street - in 30min one is directly in Manhatten for $ 4.50 (one way);. The hotel is relatively new or renovated and for American standards really nice - breakfast is also good for American standards and above all plentiful (buffet) - in addition there is a "Trader Joe" supermarket just around the corner :-) Would choose the hotel for a city trip anytime again, especially if you - like us - have an additional rental car, because there are plenty of free parking spaces

Actually, we liked everything - rooms as booked - unfortunately, there are only very few rooms with balcony and these also in the inner courtyard instead of with a view to the Hudson - but you know this before already at the booking, so ok

Went to see the Yankee vs Blye Jays didn't really have a chance to "explore" checked in at midnight... In the am around 7am or so it sounded like they were doing some kind of construction work on the room next door...wasnt loud for me but annoyed My girl to the point She woke up me and than couldn't go back to sleep. The room was cleaned towels were cleaned breakfast was pretty good served till 11am. You could take the bus to new York for a round trip 8$/person (get ready travel standing up)...takes You about 40 min with traffic and than On the way back seems quicker. The hotel has a nice view flat screen TVs right next to the plaza by chase bank I would stay there again but will def look in the NY area first to avoid traffic.

It was a smart choice for a fleeting trip in Edgewater with fantastic value. Enjoyed a nice balcony view of the Hudson River and the NYC skyline. Keep in mind the walls are thin, so bring some earplugs.

Excellent location on the edge of the River Hudson, River walkway and great views across to Manhattan, especially at night, All staff very friendly and helpful, room brilliant with view of the river, great breakfast too.Good shops and restaurants nearby, 1 minute walk to bus stop and Manhattan a 30 minute ride, buses frequent.

the stay here was nice in september. we loved the convenience of the family room available with fridge, the balcony plus jacuzzi. we had a microwave oven, coffee & tea makers and a refrigerator. its location by the river was ideal.

The balcony was enjoyable, but the room was small and cramped.

The customer service was good and the breakfast was decent for the price. I asked for late check out and they agreed. My room was facing the hudson river and the view was beautiful. Easy access to New York from the hotel. Check in and out was fast.

It was a good place for my family, with affordable price, and close to New York city, the breakfast was a good, the was clean and with tow queen size bad, very cool, I have no complain, my family happy I am happy. I will come back later for another vacation to the same hotel, Thank you,

The staff provided really good service, especially the receptionist who was very accommodating.

The view from the room could have been better.

The rooms were spacious, bathrooms clean and functioning as they should, airconditioning was working perfectly. Breakfast though simple was ample and the person serving was very helpful

There could have been a proper electric Tea Kettle in the room. A coffee maker does not replace a Tea Kettle. The supplies of tea bags, sugar, milk powder were never replenished and slightly better quality of paper cups could have been used.
